In this module, you will create your own original workbook. This workbook will contain a minimum of 3 worksheets and should include the use of formulas and a chart. The subject matter is your choice. If you seem to be stuck for an idea, try doing an analysis of census data from North Carolina ( http://www.census.gov ).

Activity 1 - Creation of an original workbook Using all the skills you have developed, create a workbook that analyzes and displays data. Chances are that you already work with student/classroom data (demographics, attendance, lesson plans, etc.) and will be able to develop a workbook that will actually be of some use to you in your job. You may already be tracking this data manually. You may be involved in keeping data for a grant program in your school. You may have a collection of recipes, books, music, or other items at home. If you need an idea, consider a project involving census data (info is available at http://www.census.gov ). Or, come up with an idea of your own! The subject matter does not matter! This project is to help you practice the skills you have learned. |
